Charles Dodson is closely involved in training and coaching mediators and lawyers as a member of CEDR’s training faculties. He is a trainer and coach on CEDR’s Mediator Training Skills course on a regular basis in the UK, Switzerland, Italy and Ireland.
Course co-leader on five-day conciliator training course in Samara, Russia 2003. Lead trainer on lawyer’s role in mediation courses since mid 90’s. Speaker and trainer on mediation awareness courses including for the Jersey judiciary and Nestle worldwide in-house legal department.
Between 1981 and 1998 Charles was a partner in the leading UK based international law firm, Lovell White Durrant, now Lovells. Resident partner of the New York office between 1985 and 1988. Joint Managing Partner of Lovells between 1991 and 1995. Acted on a broad range of commercial cases including professional indemnity, corporate takeovers, insurance and reinsurance, tort and contract, and international asset tracing. Accredited as a CEDR mediator in 1996. Acted on a large number of matters ranging from multi-million pound international disputes to Central London County Court cases.
